The North American Border Collie Rescue Network, Inc. is
a nationwide support network for Border Collie Rescue in Canada and the USA.
Rescue volunteers are linked together by Mail, Telephone, Fax and the
Internet. Our goal is to provide wider access to Rescue resources. Members
do Rescue work as individuals or as local groups and come from all segments
of the Border Collie community.
Members may do rescue work or provide an array of services that vary by
individual or by local groups:
We cannot be held responsible for a dog if the owner has not truthfully
reported aggressive behavior or other temperament or behavioral problems.
Likewise, dogs with serious health problems may not be able to be placed.
In addition, NABCRN has a newsletter, maintains a library of other Rescue
material and resources, and provides educational material to Rescue people
and the general public. Looking to the future, This Web Site provides lists
of Border Collies in need, people looking for Border Collies, and homes
willing to provide Foster Care, all for much faster placement.
If you become involved in Border Collie Rescue, you will want to join the
North American Border Collie Rescue Network, Inc.
In order to be listed, write or phone NABCRN. A questionnaire will be sent
to you. You must fill it out and return it in order to be listed. It indicates
the services you provide so that our records will be correct and referrals be
appropriately made to you. Listing is free and you will receive our bimonthly
newsletter and updated rescue lists. To be a voting member and be covered
under our liability insurance (when we get it) you must pay annual dues of $10.

What we cannot do.
NABCRN representatives cannot go into an alleged abusive or neglectful
situation and remove a dog. Every state has its own laws concerning abuse,
and only legally appointed officers can remove animals.
